Madonna Combines “Art, Music and Mischief” Tonight to Benefit Raising Malawi

Joshua BrandaoTonight, Madonna brings “art, music and mischief” to Miami’s Art Basel international art fair. The singer will be hosting an event to benefit Raising Malawi, the charity she founded in 2006.

“Founding Raising Malawi is one of the most meaningful things I have done in my life,” Madonna says in a statement.  “Raising Malawi’s evening of art, music and mischief at Art Basel will support our latest project to establish Malawi’s first pediatric surgery and intensive care unit.”

She adds, “I’m excited to give others the opportunity to be part of this undertaking that will ultimately safe lives and help the children of Malawi.”

In addition to a performance by Madonna, the event will feature special guests including Oscar-winning actor and Madonna’s former husband Sean Penn, Ariana Grande and comedian Chris Rock. Late Late Show host James Corden will serve as the master of ceremonies.

The fundraising event will take place at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach.
